Reversing sensors
Reversing sensors have quickly become the minimum requirement for reversing safety equipment. There are many systems on the market, but we recommend only one type - the PORON range for some pretty compelling reasons.
Our systems DO NOT HAVE VISUAL DISPLAYS! Why would you want to be looking at a coloured display when you should be checking your mirrors? Sensors, like all reversing equipment is an aid - they are not replacements for care and attention. We use AUDIO warnings so you can keep your eyes where they should be.
Our systems can pick up objects from up to 4m away. Most other systems are limited to 2m or less.
Our systems have TWO TYPES OF WARNING. There is a beeping sound that intensifies as you near the object behind. There is also a HUMAN VOICE that reads off the distance to the object as you back up.
Our sensors are significantly smaller than most on the market. Despite their sensitivity, these sensor measure approximately 13mm across, affording minimal change in your vehicle's appearance.
Their housings are transparent and pick up the colour of the bumper underneath - so there although the service is available, there is no need for colour coding!
Our sensors can now be mounted on front bumpers as well, equipped with special switching to enable forward facing protection.
